Baby Naming/ Blessing
Baby naming ceremonies are a beautiful and powerful way to welcome a child into their family, community. It can be an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate a child’s special presence in this world, how one life touches the lives of others, and to make an offering of loving support to a child and their family - whatever form that family may take.

I am delighted to celebrate with all variations of family and culture including: single/ multi/ LGBT+/ mixed ethnicity/ adoptive parents…halves, wholes, steps… (I myself have a bit of a family web rather than a tree!) - the delightful rainbow dance of today’s Irish society is WELCOME
Baby naming/ welcoming ceremonies are uniquely created in consultation with the family and may be of a spiritual or non-denominational essence, can be held in any location such as home, private venue, great outdoors, sacred site and may be adapted to include a small or large attendance.
A baby naming/ blessing ceremony can be a lovely alternative or complimentary service to a christening ceremony. They can also be done at any stage in a child’s life, or indeed for an adult who would like to mark some aspect of their childhood.
A blessing ceremony can also be done to honour those lost through miscarriage, termination of pregnancy or soon after birth, which can be a profoundly supportive process in such challenging times.
FEE: Ceremonies typically range from €150-250, depending on what is required.
This includes:
Planning meeting in person
Design and writing of a unique personalised ceremony
Guidance and support throughout the planning stages
Presence and assistance on the ceremony day
Further costs may be included for travel, rehearsals and other expenses.
